Baby boy

A baby boy was created
by the hand of God above
to give the world the sweetest touch
of tenderness and love.
With the softness of a whisper,
God made a baby's skin
and then designed two trusting eyes
to put the starlight in.
With giggles from a waterfall
and breezes passing by,
God made a baby's laughter
and a tiny, sleepy sigh.
God made the world a precious gift
more dear and pure than gold,
with little toes to play with
and tiny hands to hold
then brought into the sunshine
a precious baby boy
All wrapped up in a rainbow
of wonder, hope, and joy.

My baby is sitting

So Benjamin is totally sitting by himself, and is so happy to be up and going. His favorite thing is to sit in front of the lego box and empty all of the blocks...and then do it again, and again and again....

Jonah's first day in Kindergarden

Jonah started Kindergarden today, and it went great. He has been counting down until this day for I don't know how long. He was all ready this morning and happy as can be.
Yesterday they had a meet the teacher day, and so we went and saw the class room and met the teacher and some of the other kids. It was a great way of making the first day a little easier.
I dropped him off and did not really feel sad. A lot of the moms were crying as they left, but I was just excited for him. I think and wonder off course and hope that he will find friends, be accepted, feel safe, treated nice, and really enjoy school. What I realize is that it is time for him to go and learn..and it is so good for him. When we picked him up we asked him what was the best thing about today, and he said " Everything!". Peter asked him if there were any cute girls...and he said " Yeah, about 90!"

Jonah this morning in our backyard
He loves his new backpack
He was a little shy and quiet when he first came. the teacher asked if he was okay...and I just told her, yes he is always shy in the beginning...and then...I hope she can handle him!
We took Jonah and the other kids out to a special lunch at "Erik's Deli"
..and then we spent a few ours at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk ( an amuzement park)

Tomatoes and Basil...

On one side of our property we have this huge fenced area with a chicken coop, bunny cages, a big lawn, fruit trees and 2 huge planter beds. ( We are getting soem chickens in a couple of weeks, and I am sure there wil be some stories about that!!!!!!)But anyway...It was a little overwhelming when we first moved in, because I also just had baby number 3 two days before we moved in.
But after a couple of months we finally planted some vegetables and herbs. The last few days..tomatoes are just turning red left and right and I can't keep up with it. I try to eat tomatoes with everything....

Nice juice Kruger tomatoes
Our wonderful Basil...I cant say how nice it is to have fresh herbs....I use it all the time
Tomatoes in my window seal.....there is about 25 I think
This was my dinner tonight.....my kids would not touch it(...and Peter either...but I LOVED IT!

Benjamin

Benjamin turned 6 months yesterday and he is just my sweet little happy baby. Whenever I talk to him or look at him he just beams and smiles.

Living with a BOY

This is what happens when you bring a Boy to the beach with water and sand and no extra clothes!
We had a ward activity at the beach Monday night and we has so much fun.
The last thing I thought before we left home was..."Hmm I should bring some extra clothes with me!" But it was a fleeting thought as we rushed to out the door to be on time...
So after Jonah had jumped in the ocean with all his clothes and rolled in the sand as he came up..I wished I had listened to that still small voice!!!!

Potty break for mommy!

So I don't know about you all mommies...but do you ever get to go to the bathroom when you want to? I usually hold it until I can try and sneek away for a minute or two...sometime that means not even going until Peter comes home from work.

Well today the kids were doing an art project and I thought it was a perfect moment to use the little girls room. I was gone for maybe 90 seconds..and this is what I came back to....

The kids were outside trying to wash of the obvious evidence...as there were red footsteps all the way to the hose....and they were covered in paint. Thank goodness for washable paint!

My little flower girl

As you know I am trying to learn more about photography and I had some time to play with some editing of pictures today. Makenna picked some flowers from the garden yesterday...and since there are no more daisies in our garden anymore!...I got some shots if them and a very happy girl:)

Peters Birthday

Peter had his birthday this week. The kids and I made him breakfast in bed and then at night we had some friends over for cake....the kids had fun decorating the cake.
Last night we had some friends over for a Birthday party and we had so much fun. No kids..and our kids were watching movies in our bedroom. We had a bonfire in the backyard and sang karaoke later inside...thanks for everyone who came:)
Peter is so great. I am so thankful to be married to a man that is so positive, happy, honest and great as he is. I am totally in love with him even after almsot 7 years being married. thank you Peter..I LOVE YOU

Blackberry galore

So behind our fence is just so much blackberries, and yesterday the kids discovered that they were all ripe. They had so much fun picking them...and mostly eating them!

Bring it On...

So I don't know if any of you ever have an off-day, where everything seem to just not happen right. I sure do now and then. Yesterday I was in such a bad mood, and things just kept on happening...I couldn't even blog about it yesterday, because I just was so grumpy!
My day started out with having to take Benjmain to the Doctor, he had a double ear infection and was not a happy camper. We went to a birthday party....which was the fun part of the day...
On our way home we decided to go and get an ice cream..and makenna and Jonah both spilled it in the car...that was lovely!
When we came home I was just cleaning up and I know Makenna went to the bathroom, but she is pretty much self sufficient and we all went outside in the back yard. I was getting ready to go out shopping, just to get a little alone time. Suddenly I hear Peter open the window in our bathroom and yell HELP....
Not only had our little "princess" plugged the toilet, but it had overflowed all over the floor...so much for my alone time..... Peter was really happy about this.
A pile of wet towels I had just cleaned and folded a few minutes earlier. While Peter and I was cleaning up...it took us a good 15 minutes, the kids were playing outside....
...and this is what they look like after unsupervised play.....
...so they all went in the shower while I was finishing cleaning up....then I go outside to see what damage they have done...
...and out sweet little puppy Ruby is digging in the dirt, covered in mud...So Peter had to get out of the shower and scrub the dog also..
By this time I am just so mad and thinking to myself...BRING IT ON...what more can happen..and I did not get my shopping and well needed break away from the kids.....
Maybe sometime next week I will get a minute or two by myself!

Jungle fun

Jonah in jungle paradise
Makenna and her friend Audrey
Jonah, Siena, Makenna and Audrey
Jonah and Siena on top of the jungle gym

We just went to Jungle fun in San Jose tonight and it was so much fun. Makennas friend Audrey turned 4 today and we went with her family.

The Jungle fun is an indoor family entertainment center, with play structures, bounce houses and tons of fun for the kids. I could not quite keep track of Jonah...but Siena was there to help. At one point I was walking around trying to at least get a glimpse of Jonah to make sure he was still alive....and I hear a littel girl crying. I walk over and she is stuck in the jungle gym and I can't get to her. She did not speak any English, only Spanish...so that did not help me much. I spottet Jonah and Siena and they went up and into the jungle gym to help her. Jonah felt really strong and proud that he could help, and when he realized she could not speak any English he just said...FOLLOW ME AKI...ONO, DOS, TRES...that was the Spanish he knew, and he got her out. he is such a great helper when he wants to be:)
