Firstgrader in the House

Jonah started first grade today. He has been waiting and waiting for days and was all ready dressed at 7 this morning. I usually have to drag him out of bed...but not today. Hopefully this is a trend:)
As soon as he got to school he disapperead and did not come back until the bell rang.Too many friends to say hi too:) I barely got to take his picture by the door...he is just growing up too fast....
But I am so proud of him and so happy he loves school....

I love taking pictures, always have, and for the longest time I have been wanting to do photography as a side business...and I am almost done doing all the paperwork etc....I have decided just to jump into it and do what I love to do.

This is Benjamins favorite thing to do lately....watering. Whenever I try to water he will cry and whine until I give him the hose. It will keep him occupied for hours if I would just let him water the backyard....

Makenna Dance

Makenna took a Jazz and tap dance class this summer, and she LOVED it. She did not like the ballett I started her in last year, but this class was just right for her. They had more FUN music, as she told me, and they got to run around. I signed her up for the rest of the year also....I might put her in a Hip Hopp class also..since she dances around the house all day long....

Hiking

So my friend Melissa and I braved to go hiking with our 6 kids the other day. The hike was just a little over 1 mile up on a little mountain top here in Scotts Valley. It ended up being a great experience. I had benjamin in a backpack and Jonah and Makenna just marched on without one complaint. It took us about 90 minutes since they had to pick every pinecone and stick and moss they could find....

My brother Sveinung and his girlfriend Cecilie also spent about 3 weeks with us and we so loved having them hear again this year...we hope they come every year. the kids love to play with their uncle and aunt and they are such great sports...
