Thats right...thats my bed they are all sleeping in. I woke up this morning and could not move, because there were kids all over my bed. Can you believe both Peter and I also slept in there...and it is a Cal king bed....not enough room for 5 people!!!
I don't know how long they were in there, or when they came in...but I know I don't feel rested and is dead tired. But I am sure there are more of you with kids ending up in your beds:)

As most of you probably know I run a Small family daycare from my home, and on Friday we did some facepainting. The boys wanted to be tigers, and Makenna started out wanting to be a butterfly, and then she wanted to be a tiger butterfly

We went to a birthday party/swim party friday and Benjamin got his first dip in the pool. He loved every minute of it:)

Makenna's first sleepover

Makenna had her first sleepover last night at Audreys house. I kind of expected to get a phonecall during the night...and I was prepared to pick her up. But she slept all night and did really great. Before I left she told me that she would be okay and that I could just leave. She is growing up way to fast....

My new obsession

Since I got my new camera I have this new obsession...I love taking pictures. I just wish I had more knowledge of how. So my new goal is to get into all of that. My friend Sally has been so helful also... everyday is full of precious unforgettible moments...like today when Jonah started out just washing his hands....and the boy he is...ended up completely wet by the end....

We went to a pirate birthday party on saturday and had so much fun....I already knew my kiddos were true pirates, so they fit right into the party...

Makenna loves food, just like her mommy. So when we made cupcakes for FHE tonight, she was so excited and licked all the frosting off...as you can see about half ended up on her face...

So as I said before we decided to take our vacation staying home this year, but taking little day trips around the area. We wanted to show Ida and Thomas Monterey and decided to go down there one day to the aquarium. It is about a 1 hour drive...just enough for the kids to get bored and start fighting. Maybe I am the only one, but I hate trying to keep them busy from the front seat...so this time I placed my brother in the back....

not having kids yet he did not know what he signed up for:) By the time we got down there he had a headache and I think they are reconsidering having 5 kids:)..I think their experience living with us for a few days brought them down to 3...

Anyway, they had fun in the car singing and loved having him on their backrow...

A day at the beach...

Living 5 minutes away from the beach, we do not go there enough. Peter and I took last week off and for the first time ever stayed home for our vacation. My brother Thomas and Ida was visiting and we spent a day at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk beach, and then went to the boardwalk afterwards. It was such a nice hot and perfect day...

Ida and I got a little sunburned...but other than that it was great.

During our Party on friday, Makenna had dressed up in her princess clothes, and Peter wanted to take a picture of her. When he started taking pictures Makenna totally starts posing....I have no idea where she got that from!!

4th of July party

We had a fun, but busy Independence day this year. We first went to a ward breakfast and then we had out first 4th of July party at our new house. We had so much fun with friends and family. My brother Thomas and his wife Ida was also here from Norway.

I think we had about 50 people with at least half of them being kids...so it was quite lively. But we had a pool, bounce house and play houses for the kids.
